Mmmm I am eating a papaya right now for breakfast. The Google Kitchen has been stocked with papaya in the morning and I love it! Itmakes coming in this early worth it! Once you coem in after 9:30 the hot breakfast offerings go away and all you are left with is cereal and bananas.
Ok so last night I went to see an acupuncturist for pregnancy. She was referred to by my OB (and thankfully is covered by my insurance). I informed her that the baby was breeched when we did the ultrasound the previous day, but I had felt so much more movement all over my belly I had no idea what position she was in. Unluckily when Dr Jennifer Ashby sent to feel my belly I had a Braxton Hicks contraction so we couldn't tell where the head and the butt was. We placed 6 needles all over- mostly in my feet/toes, my writs and forehead- all for cleansing the kidney, for the baby's lung development, and for turning the baby. I go in for follow-up sessions next week.
Today is my last day at work before maternity leave. It also happensto be the day before Halloween weekend, so all of the Agency team has dressed up in Giants gear in honor of the SF Giants making it in the World Series. We won 2 games so far against the Texas Rangers- whoohoo! What a year to root for the SF Giants, and what a year the baby baby will be born in if the Giants win the world series! So I printed out this Giants Baby Onesie 'logo' and taped it on my Orange shirt today for my 'costume'. I'm not getting dressed up in Halloween gear as I havent gotten around to putting together a suit.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
