September Update: Kirra is 9 months old

September was all about Kirra's 'Cheese Face'. This became Kirra's signature smile, and caused us all to smile big in return.
She mimicked the huge grin probably from Luke (the boy a year older than her at Daycare) who is also a cheesey smiley kid. We loved being on the receiving end of the cheese-face, and also getting her to do more of them, showing off her six teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom). Here are just a few flashes of Kirra's cheese face- all usually when she knows her photo is being taken: while eating, while getting changed, while on the swing, while playing, in bed etc.

 

The SF-Bay area summer has been so predictable- cooler all day long. I wore my hoodie almost every day these past couple months. I'm itching for a sunny family vacation. Hawaii or So Cal would be nice! We ordered a new REI tent (one you can actually stand up in) for the family (it's so cool to say 'the family!') and we set it up in the middle of Crissy Field one Sunday afternoon (clearly, when the weather was so chili we'd rather stay inside the tent all bundled up.

Uh-Oh, Gus is Pooping!

We're no longer bathing Kirra in the PUJ foam foldable tub. Even when she out-grew that one we still liked the convenience of putting her in the sink (me not having to bend over), but around the 7 month mark we wanted her to be able to splash and get comfortable with being in the water. In fact, we took Kirra to the Sava Pool (Public indoor pool) this month since she had such a good time at Madison's birthday pool party last month.
