Liam has been going going through tooth after tooth and cold after cold these weeks. It is hard to know and tell whether to call the dr or just consider him irritable and sick with runny nose because of a cold or teething. Or both. His constant congestion and runny nose, coupled with constant waking makes this phase in a baby's growth really test your no-sleep endurance. Just when I started getting more than 3 he intervals of sleep Liam is back at waking 2 times in the night or morning for a bottle, a burp, a visit, or someone to gnaw on and grab a hold of .
Liam now has three bottom teeth and one fang on the top of his mouth. Usually the top two teeth grow in but his incisors dis first. The other fang is starting to Creep in, and we see his top two teeth and gums look swollen. I had to snap a photo while he still looks like a vampire before the two in the middle grow in.
He has been exploring thicker textures with food lately. Thank God! Before, he only could handle really pureed food. He gagged on chunks of banana, even avocado, because he did not know how to chew. We started giving him Puff rice airy cereals which he loves. He would grunt at the sigh of of he Puffs container. When he didn't have something to put in his own mouth he would grunt. Even so, mealtime with Liam is a whirlwind because not only are you in a hurry to keep.his hands and mouth occupied, but he usually goes to the bathroom in the middle of eating, and will shout and moan for.the remainder of his meal for you to get him out of his chair.
Now he is eating thicker baby foods and able to keep down other solid chunks like bread, cut up blueberries and pasta.
