Visits from the Bogarts

Colin is lucky to be able to take 7 weeks off for Paternity Leave, and he's been taking off a week at a time, spread out over the first 6-7 months of Kirra's life. We've been timing some of these weeks off with visitors, so what better way than to enjoy time off with the Bogarts! The Bogart Clan came to visit us in San Francisco in two waves this winter, which was a treat from their snowy and freezing days in New York.

First Erin and Peter visited us for a week at the end of January. We took them around to our favorite outdoor spots and eateries, of course with Kirra as the main attraction. Kirra was so easy to bring around- in the car seat and also in the stroller. I nursed her in the car whenever she got hungry, talk about fast food.

Two weeks later Pop and Nana Bogart (Steve and Kim) came out after a 7 day roadtrip from Brooklyn. It was their first time meeting Kirra, timed out perfectly with her pretty recent new talent: contagious smiling! Their visit was also full of adventures to Harley Goat Farm, Ocean Beach, Artesa Winery and a surprise night at Costa Noa Eco Lodge in Pescadero as well. The Reids came down from Roseville to visit with us as well.

When Gillian makes her trek over from Bali then Kirra's Bogart visit will be complete! We're looking forward to June/Summer for her homecoming.
