Gus and mini Gus

Iku crocheted me this cute sleeping Gus toy, and I'm going to bring him to the hospital when it's time since I wont be able to bring the real Gus, of course! Thanks Iku for the thoughtful gift, I'll enjoy him and then share him with Baby Bogart when she joins us.

I'm glad I will be at home for a good chunk of my pre-laboring. When my doula came over this weekend to practice some birthing positions- for contractions and for pushing - Gus stayed by my side the entire time. Some of the time he was a little too close, as in his face was tucked under me or he was doing his own stretches by me and then getting in my way. Maybe he thinks I am inviting him for a play session, since I'm crawling on the floor. When I'm in the early stages of labor I'll feel so much better to have Gus to hug and be comforted by. A true teddy bear. I just got up off the floor and now I'm covered with doghair all over my black leggings. Thanks Gus, love ya!
